To align with mandated security measures, all FEMA web systems, including the National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL), will require the use of the "https" protocol and no longer support "http." This change will be effective as of August 1, 2017. After that time "http" links will no longer function.

Since Google Earth™ does not support the latest internet security standards required by the federal government, users accessing the National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) through Google Earth™ will no longer be able to view the NFHL through that software. Users of NFHL in Google Earth™ are encouraged to access the NFHL through alternate methods. Users accessing NFHL through the FEMA GeoPlatform or Flood Map Service Center will not be impacted by this update.
