Effective November 5, 2014, 12 new FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) panels for the City and County of Honolulu went into effect.  If you own property within the affected panels, please note that your flood hazard risk may have changed.  These changes may have an affect on building permit requirements and/or mandatory flood insurance requirements.  To view the FIRM maps and confirm your flood hazard zone, visit FEMA’s Map Service Center or the Flood Hazard Assessment Tool (FHAT).
