UNCLE BILLY’S DEMOLITION PROJECT
DLNR will be abating and demolishing the above ground structures of the former Uncle Billy’s Hilo Bay Hotel pursuant to Governor Josh Green’s Emergency Proclamations . Preparation for demolition is anticipated to start around November 27, 2023 with project completion in November 2024.
Impact to Public: Work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional work on Saturdays. No demolition of structures, hydraulic hammering, or concrete processing shall be done prior to 9:00 am.
