Flood Insurance Training for Insurance Agents
Posted on Mar 10, 2017 in NFIP News, UncategorizedIn response to the recent flooding events in NV, CA, and HI, FEMA is hosting two Basic Agent Training webinars entitled, “Key Fundamentals of Flood Insurance”. The workshops are free and offer continuing education credit for each session attended. Due to high demand and limited capacity (500 registrant max for each session), the webinars listed below will be open for registration to CA, NV, & HI property and casualty insurance agents first before being opened to insurance agents in other states.
TWO-PART Key Fundamentals of Flood Insurance Webinar

This webinar is a two-part course on the National Flood Insurance Program. It includes the topics listed in the Federal Register notice on training and education requirements related to Section 207 of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004, otherwise known as FIRA 2004.
It brings participants the latest information on reform legislation impacting the NFIP as it reviews the key elements that insurance agents need to know about the NFIP and how it works. It also discusses many of the federal flood program’s general rules as well as some more advanced topics.
