Posted on Mar 24, 2020 in NFIP News

Aloha Hawaii NFIP and Floodplain Management Stakeholders,

Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources (HiDLNR) has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 global  pandemic.   With the uncertainty of this on-going national state of emergency, HiDLNR has made the difficult decision to cancel our annual Floodplain Management Conference scheduled for the week of August 16th 2020.

Please continue to check back on our blog for notification of future training opportunities.

For Hawaii Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs) who are up for their biennial renewal after August 2020, but are short of the required 16 CECs needed for your renewal, please visit the ASFPM website for additional information on maintaining your certification status. Mahalo Nui Loa for your continued interest and support of flood hazard mitigation throughout kō Hawaiʻi pae ʻāina (the Hawaiian Islands).
